I Like Power

I said it in the car like I was joking.

But I wasn’t.

I like power.

The kind that doesn’t need a crown.

The kind that doesn’t beg.

The kind that walks away first.

Power isn’t about being right.

It’s about being rooted.

That’s why they mistake me for dangerous.

I’m not unhinged.

I’m free.

— STILL STANDING. STILL SHARP. STILL LIT.
